SNAP/DUFB INFO
Purchase a Queener Farm Apple Club using your SNAP benefits, and you may also be eligible for Double Up Food Bucks to cover up to half the cost of the CSA! Double Up Food Bucks are limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
At Queener Farm we believe that everyone deserves access to local, nutrient-dense food. We have partnered with Pacific Northwest CSA Coalition to make using your SNAP Benefits as easy as possible. Pay for your Apple Club monthly with your Oregon Trail Card food benefits. For shares that are apples only, you may be eligible for Double Up Food Bucks to cover half your CSA cost. For Preserves add-ons, Double Up Food Bucks will cover the price of the apples valued to half the cost of the CSA. This makes providing food for your home even more affordable and stretches your food dollar even further!*
You can use your SNAP benefits** to purchase any of our Apple Clubs, but only the shares with apples only may qualify for the DUFB scholarship. Our Preserves Add-On is not eligible for DUFB, but is eligible for SNAP. Check our individual Apple Club pages for exact pricing and payment details.
*What are Double Up Food Bucks? This is a program that “matches” SNAP benefits used on fruit and vegetable CSAs for up to half the value of the CSA. Essentially free money that can only be used on a CSA purchase. Please reach out if you have any questions! We are committed to making our food accessible and want to work with you to make this possible.
**Applies to SNAP food benefits only. If you receive SNAP cash benefits (allowing you to buy non-food items), unfortunately you will not be eligible for the DUFB program nor can you use any of the SNAP cash benefits to purchase an Apple Club.
